UPDATE: I’m now on a new location: Avenida João Crisóstomo, 69 – R/Ch Esq. – Lisboa.

It is now official that I have a new working place, just in the center of Lisbon. Yes, I was doing fine working at the beach or at home, but I needed some more.
Like I said, until now I worked from home or the beach, basically. Sometimes I searched some cafes or wherever. I did not changed my opinion about working like that, but there were some factors that made me change my situation.
Working on the beach during summer is, well, quite hard. You have extreme heat (I’m in Portugal, remember?), the surrounding environment is of party and relaxation and, most of all, a lot of distractions right now (let’s say bikinis). So as you can imagine it’s not easy to work on the beach during the summer.
I also never found a cafe where I felt good. The local Starbucks is at a mall and theres not much alternatives where I live (outside of Lisbon), so I worked from home the last couple of months. You probably are thinking that I couldn’t manage myself and that I didn’t get the discipline I needed to work from home. Wrong. Surprisingly, I kept the productivity in high standards and never felt that the TV was calling me. The only reason I got tired was of loneliness. Yeah, I wasn’t made to be alone. In fact, I hate it.
I knew that my good friends from Core Factor were having some free space in their “house”. Perfect location and perfect conditions, so I rent a space in there. Because it’s a big house and they are a small company, I can maintain my identity instead of having to integrate the company’s habits and etc, so it’s a win win situation.
Besides that, I have daily contact with other peers, wich is something you loose when you’re working alone from anywhere (Facebook doesn’t count :p). I also have a space to receive my clients, wich is great.
So from now on, my official address will be Rua Chaby Pinheiro, 15 – 4º Esq, Lisbon. You can check it out on the Google Maps below:
The next obvious question is: when are you coming to visit me? 🙂
